Went to Lena's parents Teochew porridge store today to have brunch. I love the pork and tau gua (deep fried fried beancurd) with soy sauce.
It was wonderful!
I finally did what I wanted to do many for years today!
I spent the lazy Sunday afternoon at Wheelock Place. I read my Sunday Times and a bit of Da Vinci Code.
It may sound silly, but I have been procrastinating to do this simple thing. I don't know why, I love to spend Sundays in bookshops. I like to see family crowds with children, not those typical "heartland" kinds, but more "atas" (sophisticated) types checking out the latest Harry Potter books.
Nope, I'm not ready to be a father yet.
You know Wheelock has many bistros right? I always admired the kids when I was younger that they parents bring them to such places to dine. My parents have never brought me there before, like Olio Dome or NYDC that kind.
My parents are Chinese ed, so they prefer more cheena places. I can't imagine my father ordering a mud pie for all to share.
I love my family!
I love the new MacBook I saw in the overcrowded Apple Shop.
Then I went Borders and read boliao (trash) magazines and recipe books.
Called Eliss today and realised that she is in Wagga Wagga now. On official business, I heard.
She told me the people there are so law abiding. When the road sigh says 50km/h, the cars in front really follow.
But they have a different approach to coke and weed lar. Shan't elaborate on that.
Dream (on) Wish list
VW Polo GTI
The 1.8 litre, 20 valve, four cylinder turbo charged engine with intercooler produces 220 Nm of torque (at 1,950rpm). It can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 8.2 seconds.
Nokia 6131
An extensive feature set including a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, microSD storage, and a screen that supports 16 million colours (wow!), is implemented on this elegant flip phone.
I hope it is Mac compatible.
Good enough for me already.
Anyone got lobang please let me know.
Yeah, Eliss will be back in 14 days! Counting down...
