It was the first time that I went to the Emerge Conference. And boy, was it not filled with energy! You can't help but jump up and down with the youth! The bass sounded deeper, and the music was more rocking. God's presence was tangible.

Can Service 1 be like this too?

Who says Believers must boring and religious? It is important that we must not lose our cutting edge. In the era of Apple iPods and 3G, past week sermons are available as podcast. Yeah, I listen to them on my iPod and iMac.

I was especially inspired by another church that uses youth as leaders. With an average age of 13 and 14, they were leading cell groups and serving in the music ministry! It blew my mind as I recalled what I was doing at that age. Paiseh to think of it.

We have always associated a stigma with young age and ability. I do not want that to happen to me. If I'm given and opportunity to be lead a team at my age, I'll take it up! Even though managers I know are at least few years older than me. I used to think we must be of a certain age to be able to do something. Guess age has no direct relationship with maturity.

Another surprised as we have young guest visitors from the music industry. They came to encourage the youth to be dream chasers and never to give up their aspirations. I think this is really good, as they are the inspiration to many.

First to come up on stage was Kelly Poon, the 1st runner up for Project Superstar. She sang her self penned song and the crowd went wild. She worked the stage and had her friends screaming.

Second came Junyang, another finalist of Project Superstar. He had pretty good vocals and wowed the crowd with his stage presence. His gave us a sneak preview of his brand new album with its main song.

Last but not least, our very own Singapore Idol, Taufik Batisah came and the congregation couldn't believe their eye! His cover on Mrs Jones was flawless, and showcased this vocal prowess. I reckon his voice is best suited for jazz.

Imagine one day we have local celebrities as our cell group members, and becomes such a common thing to have politicians as cell group leaders.

The power of prayer is the key to unlock these visions.
