Met up with some mates some good ol' hotpot dinner in the city.
Cheah, I wanted to smuggle home some of their garlic oil dip (which was so good) when I saw their "3 big NOs" posters on the wall. Sigh.
I was chatting with a friend from China. Although she was still at a tender age, she had a lot of thoughts about the world. Especially in the area of poverty.
She opened my eyes about the ugliness of humanity. She shared with us about a story about how an old man got pushed to the groud, hit with an electric nightstick and had his motorised trishaw confiscated because it was illegal to own one (to cut down pollution) .
She was so angry as bystanders just stood by and jeer at the old man that she stood forward to confront the policeman for his cruelty. She bravely defended the trishaw rider and told the policeman that her dad knew a lot of influential people and threaten to expose him to his superiors.
After the police left, she walked him home. His leg was bleeding after the fall.
I'm not sure if I got the courage like her to stand up for what I believe in.

U2's Vertigo tour opened tonight, which was also the final leg of a worldwide juggernaut that has already taken in 3 continents and about 4 million fans.
They are one of my favourite band, and we even used "Beautiful Day" as our wedding march song.
But, nah. I wouldn't spend $150 to attend their concert.

(RED) was created by Bono and Bobby Shriver, Chairman of DATA, to raise awareness and money for The Global Fund by teaming up with the world's most iconic brands to produce (PRODUCT) RED-branded products. A percentage of each (PRODUCT) RED product sold is given to The Global Fund. The money helps women and children with HIV/AIDS in Africa.

You guys should know by now that Rove McManus is of my my favourite hosts with his razor sharp wit.
His wife, Belinda Emmett passed away at St Vincent's Hospital shortly after dawn earlier today. She was 32.
Diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998, at the age of 24, she successfully underwent surgery to remove the malignant tumour, followed by six weeks of radiotherapy.
After a period in remission, Emmett was diagnosed with secondary bone cancer in 2001.
I pray for the peace of God to be upon his family.
