Sick of all the sweat smoldering down down face and back as you queue in the badly ventilated JB Custom? And how about wishing that they officers will stop admiring how red your passport is and just bloody stamp on it?
In three years, Singaporeans may be able to take a train and zip across from Woodlands to Johor in less than 3 minutes.
SMRT and Jalur Mudra Sdn Bhd (JM) are in talks to erect 4 km long monorail track linking Singapore's MRT stations at Woodlands or Kranji to Johor Baru's new RM3b monorail system.
No, past disputes of the proposed bridge will not stand in the way according to sources.
SMRT has offered to take up an equity stake of up to 45% and Johor Baru City Council (MBJB) at 30%. The latter will contribute only in terms of land and right of way, not a single cent.
Before you complain that how much tax payer's money will be used, this project is going to be privately funded.

Oh, did I mention that SMRT is 55% owned by Temasek Holdings? Hahaha.
Fancy spending one of the Chinese Lunar New Year at...I mean on the moon?
NASA announced plans for a permanent base on the moon, to be started soon after astronauts return there around 2020.

I was at Kirribilli, which was derived from an Aboriginal word "Kiarabilli", which means "good fishing spot" this morning to have a look.
I love it that suburb totally, which formed part of a grant to James Milson, after whom Milsons Point was named.
Kirribilli is one of Australia's oldest and most established suburbs, and it also where Kirribilli House (the Sydney residence of the Prime Minister) is located.
