My first attempt to make an Aussie Big Breakie. I modified Gordon Ramsey's recipe for the scrambled eggs and added grated Parmesan cheese in it.
The trick is not to cook for too long and keep stirring to keep it light and fluffy.
The guys from the cell celebrated Eliss's birthday with a coffee cake.
Happy birthday, dear!
We went to chill out at Well Connected later with a few others to catch up.
The set dinner there was pretty good and reasonably priced. I had chicken kebabs and prawn linguine.
Kendy was telling me earlier about Singapore Day event happening at Melbourne during October. His friend is one of the organisers, so he will we going with Sharon over the weekend.
At the moment, Thye Hong Hokkien Mee has confirmed that they will be in cooking up a storm. Slurp!
The event was first held in New York last year, and I remembered mentioning on my blog about when will the Singaporeans living in Australia, particularly in Sydney to have one.
Well, Melbourne is 1.5hrs flight away. That's close enough I guess.
It's interesting that most of us couldn't be bothered about NDP when we were back home. National Day is just another public holiday that we can plan for a short getaway to KL or Bangkok.
But when we are based overseas, we are more concerned about Singapore news from AsiaOne or even planning for a our very own National Day Party (NDP). Whenever a friend comes back from Singapore, I'll request them to bring back a copy of 8 Days and iWeekly to catch up on local goss.
There is even a competition going on to show us your Singapore spirit!
Send in a photo and/or video that captures the spirit of Singapore.
It could be a street scene from Singapore, festivities that Singaporeans celebrate, or even pictures of you and your family celebrating past National Days that remind you why Singapore is home, and stand a chance to win 20 sets of National Day Fun Packs!
