Today is the last day of our holidays. I had bar chor mee with iced Horlicks for the very last time.

It's an emotional and busy day ahead for some last minute shopping.

Picked up my new Oakley with updated Transitions lens, which apparently works faster than my current ones.

I've been wanting a pair since uni days, but didn't have the budget for it.

It's dream come true for me, finally.

After that, it was rushing to Chinatown to get some books for Ryce, to Hougang to visit Ah Ma, to Sengkang to drop by Eric and Mebelline's new home, back to Yishun to pack luggage and have dinner with in-laws.

Father-in law kindly drove all of us to the airport to see us off.

Big drama happened at the check in counter as our luggage were 15kg overweight. The SATS staff was pretty strict and wanted to charge us $450 for it. No matter how we plead and explained that we are relocating, she didn't budge.

Casey and Dot came to us for rescue and suggested we shipped it over by sea and rush downstairs to check the rate.

Effort was in vain as it'll still cost us $350, and the parcel will only reach Sydney in 2 weeks time.

Running out of alternatives, we went our to the check in counter and asked everyone in the queue if they are flying back to Sydney and whether they could share the weight of our excess baggage.

Non of them was willing to help.

Just as we resigned to fate, the counter lady called us back and was willing to let us check the whole lot in without extra charges. Thank God for that!

We bid our farewell to family and friends and headed for the midnight flight back to Aussie Land.
