CNY Eve in Sydney is very different from Singapore. There is no irritating "tong tong chiang" music at all. But the thing is, it's the irritating music that adds to the whole CNY festivity atmosphere.

There is no one selling waxed meat, or funny plants that supposed to bring you more wealth in Chinatown here.

No parties, no countdowns. It's different when you are a minority.

While waiting for dinner to happen, Eliss felt a little hungry so we queued for like 20mins to get the famous custard puffs.

They have this big machine, but its so slow! Look how empty and under utilised the conveyor belt is.

An order of 20 pieces will jam up the line for like another few minutes.

A gathering of orphans for reunion dinner, since all our parents are not here with us.

We had the traditional fare of hot pot since the weather was quite cool tonight.

The usual solution to kill the fire from the hot ma la stock, mountain of ice cream!
