It always makes me feel very happy when I come to Leura. Maybe it's the village charms, or maybe it's just so beautiful. I feel very relaxed just walking around and enjoying the atmosphere.

There were many maple trees around, and I just love how it looks with the sun shining through.

We had a walk around the whole area to find a suitable lunch spot. Wanted to go back to Post Office restaurant initially, but we thought that would be our last resort.

Skipped the Chinese restaurant too when the main dishes are in the likes of Mongolian Lamb, Sweet and Sour Pork and Honey Chicken.

We settled for Red Door Cafe in the end and rushed in to beat the couple at the door to grab the last table. They walked in a minute later and had to wait by the entrance. Phew!

I ordered the omelette with spicy chorizos, tomatoes and potatoes. The spread that came with it was so good, slightly spicy and went very well with mini baguettes.

Eliss's salad had pieces of tender and juicy pink duck breasts, which were so yummy too.

I spotted the cutest and fattest baby girl at the next table. She has rosy cheeks and the prettiest smile.

I'm really happy that I get to see the 3 Sisters this time round. We came in April back in 07 and all I saw was nothing blue. In fact, nothing except mist.

When the sun comes out, people also come out and play.

This is a close up on one of the 3 Sisters. I don't reckon she's the prettiest one.

They definitely look better in 3s.

Along the way back home, we turned in at Penrith, or 'The Riff' as the local call it.

I actually have plans to visit here long time ago. As it's about 40km away from home, the trip has been dragged till now.

This is Penrith CBD after 6pm, or probably how any suburbs will look like when you take out all the Chinese.

I wonder how Taiwanese can ever adjust to this place when their shops opened till almost 11pm everyday.

We were the only Asians there, except for the few working in the shop selling noodles stir fry.

This is basically a dead town when the shops close. Yawn!

Ooh! They have Hog's Breath here! This was like one of our favourite steak place during uni days.

They opened one in Singapore as well. Eating there was the worst experience ever. The meat was badly done and service was below average. We swore never to go back again. I can't believe that they have 2 more branches now with this kind of standard.

I ordered the Garlic Prawn Prime Rib – Traditional Cut because it looked the most delicious, although I was a bit skeptical about the quality.

When I cut into the marbled beef, the tenderness and the beefy flavour of the meat was so satisfying. Now I know why we loved this chain restaurant so much. The garlic sauce complimented the slightly charred steak very well.

Come to think of it, we had dinner at the Bondi Beach outlet when I visited her for the first time back in May 2006 after she left Singapore to work here.

Eliss ordered the El Grande™ Prime Rib – Lite Cut for the cheese sauce, tomato salsa and sliced jalapenos.

It's definitely safer to eat ang mo food here than Asian.
